Fundamenta was built on a simple observation: students spend years in school but graduate without knowing how to budget, file taxes, interview for a job, cook a meal, or sign a lease. We're changing that.
What Fundamenta Is
Fundamenta is an AI-powered life skills education platform serving students and young adults aged 13–30. The platform combines five essential life skill domains — financial literacy, career development, wellness, home management, and emergency preparedness — with AI-powered mentoring, gamified learning, and scenario-based practice that makes real-world skills stick.
Why It Matters

Fundi — Our AI Companion
At the center of Fundamenta is Fundi — an adaptive AI mentor designed specifically for young learners. Fundi provides age-appropriate guidance, crisis-aware support, bilingual responses (English and Spanish), and personalized coaching across every domain. Fundi adapts its personality and complexity to each user, providing junior-mode explanations for younger teens and more advanced guidance for young adults.

Our Platform
Fundamenta is a web-based progressive web application (PWA) — accessible on any device, installable on any home screen, and partially available offline. It supports English and Spanish and uses age-aware privacy safeguards and FERPA-aligned access controls for school use.
The platform uses OpenAI GPT-4o models for AI interactions, USDA FoodData Central for nutrition data, O*NET for career data, and CareerOneStop for wage and labor market information.
